Headed up by partners Eric Strickland and Robert Jonhston, Mckenzie Strickland Associates is organised between two offices in Crieff and Aberfeldy where through technology and communication, interaction flows between the offices.
We have a staff of 16 and growing, within a team orientated atmosphere that permeates the organisational structure of the practice to create a distinctive positive and creative culture amongst our architects, architectural technicians, graphic designer and administrative staff. We all work together with different skills to respond to our clients needs. In this way, team members acquire a diversified set of skills which benefits each and every project.
Eric M. Strickland BSc Hon. PGDip Arch RIBA RIAS
Eric is the principal of MSA which he formed in 1997 while tutoring at the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. Previously Eric gained a broad range of experience in architectural practices throughout Scotland as well as time spent in the USA. Eric studied Architecture in Aberdeen where in both honours year and diploma year he specialised in environmental design and integrating knowledge gained in the design of energy efficient buildings. During these years he was a winner of the national RIBA and British Gas Energy Design Award gaining an Aberdeen Local Heritage Society Award.
Robert K. D Johnston BSc B Arch Hons
Robert has a wide experience of commercial and domestic projects having previously worked in Dundee and Perth. He has carried out numerous flatted residential projects ranging from new build developments to the conversion of existing buildings of historical importance. He is also experienced in restaurant and licensed premises design. Prior to qualifying as an Architect at Dundee University he was an Architectural Technologist and as such has a wide design, technical and contractual knowledge.
